Bologna Design Week 2018 is on the way and we are here to give you our rundown of one of Italy’s most influential design fairs.

From the 25th to the 29th of September, Bologna Design Week will feature shows, design exhibitions, workshops, competitions, events, guided tours, design talks and theme discussions on design cultures, fashion & design, and design food, showcasing the best from the Emilia-Romagna region.

BDW will be held, primarily, in Palazzo Isolani, an eighteenth century palace that refelects the cultural heritage of the city of Bologne. With over 400 exhibitors, this fair will bring designers and companies together.

Design Night will take place on Wednesday, September 26th. This event will bring this fair’s visitors together to explore Bologne’s culture and heritage throughout that night.

Another great feature of Bologne Design Week is the fact that, not only do we get a personal and constant interaction between designers, companies and visitors, but we also get the input of future deisgners.

The Exhibit Lab will feature students that are enrolled in design courses. It will be interesting to see the contrast between the students perception of design and the veterans that have been handling the market for decades.
