Today we are flying to New York, the city that never sleeps, in order to meet an incredible interior design project in Fifty Avenue. And as expected, what really caught our eye, were the sophisticated lighting designs that took our breath away.

In this stunning mid-century apartment, one of our favorite rooms is the open kitchen that looks beautifully, providing space and movement in this prewar gut renovation.

The ikat club chair, the brown mohair sofa and the industrial table lamp suit perfectly with the grey flannel walls. The Louis Vuitton trunk provide this living room a cozy, but chic atmosphere.

Old meets new in this prewar foyer where abstract art is displayed along with an antique rug, lacquer console table and table sculpture. The french industrial dining table with the abstract watercolor series grace this beautiful dining room.

Traditional bones mixed with vintage rocker, mid-century lighting and african stool make this boys bedroom truly unique.

In her website, Jessica Gersten’s style is described as “modern eclectic“. The designer has “an eye for one-of-a-kind antiques mixed with contemporary designs” and works “in close collaboration with her clients [seeking] to create spaces that evoke emotion while speaking to their lifestyle needs”. This couldn’t be a more accurate description of the work we’ve just seen by the designer. It’s a post-modern home, which takes the best of both worlds (contemporary and vintage) and brings them together to create a harmonious and elegant place… right in the heart of New York City!
