The floor lamps design industry never stops innovating and bringing new features to the table, and today we’re here to show you how much that’s true.
Today we decided it would be appropriate to feature an amazing lighting inspiration by Knauf and Brown: the Allumette Floor Light.
We think that what Knauf and Brown created was a very modern and absolutely stunning design, that no one would mind bringing home with them. Curious? Let’s take a look!
The panels on the side make up both the base and the shade, which then transition into wide angle reflectors, thus creating a soft, diffused light, which can also be dimmed.
Knauf and Brown were very clever and environmentally conscious when thinking about this design. They decided to take advantage of the current mass consumption of LED light solutions and integrated that technology into the Allumette Floor Light. The light was then surrounded a structural aluminum form to make it look aesthetically appealing.

Knauf and Brown’s work and interviews have been featured online and in print, including Frame, RUM, and Dwell magazines.
